In The Cause of World Peace

Let your soul
Radiate peace.
Think, act and speak harmoniously

The quotation above came unexpectedly and from an unknown source as I began to write this Newsletter. I think it summarises everything humanity needs to live by within these challenging times.

Yes, there are world conflicts and challenges. Yes, certain actions have led to turmoil, to great loss and great pain for thousands of innocent individuals … and the hope of resolution is currently very slim.

Conflict and its consequences mean that all of humanity is currently suffering … and helpless, too, to truly assist the situation.

But here is something we could do!

Know that simple actions, repeated by many, can shift fixed ideas …
… and small thoughts can lead to big changes
So let’s commit to lighting a candle each day, for just a short time and in its light, speak our personal thoughts for peace
And then, please encourage others to join you in this peacemaking ritual – the more good thoughts, the better

The candle symbolises hope and light and comfort.

The candle flame can be dangerous and yet it’s light essentially represents peace.

The lighted candle gives life to ceremony, celebration, spirituality and love.

Candlelight offers warmth, hope, emotional guidance and remembrance. Its light gives hope in darkness, comfort and peace.

And the candle also symbolizes the fragility of life and represents the hope of light amid darkness.

THINK BIG! THE POWER OF MANY

The candle ritual can bring greater peace and harmony within our self.

If we feel more peaceful, then our individual action can ignite the wider intention of bringing harmony and peace to those around us.

Perhaps, over time, this small and sincere action may contribute to gently making peace throughout our world
