More Anxiety Bytes

At its peak, anxiety produces symptoms that become apparent as an awareness of dis-ease.  Traces of physical and mental unrest emerge, feelings first noticeable in physical exhaustion and perhaps erratic conduct.  Sensing this, the mind becomes distressed, feeling strained and drained.  If these disturbances are not addressed in a satisfactory way, the slippery slope to psychosomatic illness is not too far away.  For some people that state of being converts to a range of illnesses such as asthma, eczema, stomach problems or high blood pressure.Others develop symptoms such as nausea, headaches, restlessness, nervousness, disturbed sleep, dizziness, breathlessness, heart palpitations or sweating and trembling.  People often describe ‘feeling spacey’ and when anxiety is experienced in the mind, symptoms include apprehension, sadness and the o-so-common depression – along with rushes of alarming thought and a sense of being out of control.  These symptoms may lead to panic attacks and phobic reactions, at times bringing a person to a state of collapse – and the probable diagnosis of an ‘anxiety disorder’.

In this, our very busy 21st Century, life for many is being lived through the prism of anxiety.  If you can relate to this, please know that this state can be reversed: it’s very possible to shed those tenacious symptoms and enjoy the gift of personal peace.  In stillness there is strength.  Maybe it’s time to learn a little more?

If you would like to know how SMT can help reverse this constant state of anxiety please contact us.
